Disclosure of Privacy Practices

What is Springs Hosting’s Privacy Policy?

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Springs Hosting collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information for both our Services (shared hosting, virtual servers, colocation, DNS, email, client portals/support) and our Website (springshosting.com/net).

Last Edited: September 3, 2025 – Version 2.0

What we collect

  • Information you give us: contact details, account information, tickets and attachments, and order details
  • Information we get when you use our Services: access and activity logs, device/IP information, and basic telemetry. If you buy backup/snapshot options, those copies may contain personal data you store
  • Information from others: payment processors send us payment tokens and status; shippers/carriers give delivery details if we send or receive equipment

How we use your information

To set up accounts, deliver and secure the Services, provide support, bill and collect fees, prevent abuse and fraud, comply with law, and improve reliability and capacity planning.

When we share it

We share information with trusted service providers (infrastructure, security, support, billing, shipping/courier) under contracts that limit how they can use it. We may also share information if required by law or to protect people, property, or our Services.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell personal information. We don’t use your hosted content to build advertising profiles.

Cookies and analytics (website)

We use cookies or similar technologies for basic analytics and to operate forms/portals. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling them may affect site features. If a law where you live requires consent or an opt‑out for certain cookies or tracking, we will honor it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. Payment card data is handled by our payment processor. Internally, only personnel with a business need can access personal information.

Data retention

We keep information while we provide the Services and for as long as needed to meet legal or operational requirements. Service data may be deleted after termination on timelines stated in your service description or order; ask us if you need a copy before deletion.

Your choices and rights

You can update account or billing details through the portal or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. If those rights apply to you, contact us and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Who controls what (for hosting customers)

For content you host with us, you (the client) decide what is stored and how long. In that context we act as a service provider/processor for you. For our own account, billing, security log, and website analytics data, we act as the business/controller.

Children

Our Services and Website are note directed to children under 13. Do not use them to host children’s personal data unless you can meet the legal requirements that apply to you.

Changes

If we make material changes to this Policy, we’ll post an updated version with a new effective date and, when appropriate, give advance notice (for example, a portal banner or email).
