What is Traffic Logging and Reports?
Traffic Logging tracks website visitors' activity including what they do, where they came from, and when they visited. Reports can then be generated in a user friendly page in the form of graphs and compiled data to give you a firm understanding of how your website visitors are finding you and how many visitors or "hits" you are receiving.
Every Springs Hosting website account includes Webalizer which generates the user friendly reports you need to understand how well your website is serving you!
How often are Reports generated?
The reports the servers generate include yearly, monthly, daily, and even hourly graphs allowing you to drill into your website data. Reports on the servers are generated every hour.
How do I get to my Reports?

Due to the nature of the data, all webalizer directories are passworded. Your account password will give you access to your reports for your website. Each website that you have will generate a unique set of reports allowing you to collect and keep detailed data on any websites hosted through Springs Hosting.
What data is useful to me?
One of the more important features of the reports is the ability to see what your users are typing into search engines to find you! Below is an example of a website and the search terms that have been used to find their website.
Another helpful report will let you know who is linking to you on the web and how many visitors have found you by following the link from their website to you.
There are also reports generated for:
- Entry Pages - What page did the visitor come in on?
- Exit Pages - What page did the visitor leave on?
- Sites - What users (or hosts) came to your page most often?
- Agents - What browser are your visitors using?
- Countries - What countries are your visitors using?
