New Virtual Private Servers (VPS)

Springs HostingOn April 27, 2010, Springs Hosting officially opened their Virtual Private Servers (VPS) cloud to the public.  Also referred to as Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS), these servers give customers complete control over their own server.  Each VPS is insulated from the physical hardware making it possible to move a VPS container between physical machines with no downtime.  Each VPS behaves exactly like a dedicated server, allowing the full security scheme to be utilized with absolutely no common link between data and the separated containers.

"We are continually expanding our services to provide our customers with the services that they require to run their businesses efficiently and we are no stranger to virtualization," said the Jeremy Keefe CIO at Springs Hosting.  "The VPS servers provide our customers with a cost-effective bridge between the shared hosting and the managed dedicated servers that we manage for our customers."

New Shared Hosting Servers Deployed

On March 9, 2009, Springs Hosting officially launched its new cPanel clusters of shared hosting servers.  "The move has been prompted by Parallel's continued decline in  release patches for Hsphere and frankly it was time for a move," said Jeremy Keefe CIO at Springs Hosting.  "The new account management system enables our customers more control over their accounts, domains and services.  Putting our customers in the drivers seat with complete control over their services is one of our main objectives."

"The migration of customer accounts to the new systems will take Springs Hosting several more months to complete.  The process has been underway since December of 2009 and nearly half of our shared hosting customers have been moved to the new systems," said Kelly Karnetsky at Springs Hosting.  "We look forward to serving our customers through the new platforms that provide many new services without any additional costs to our customers. For our customers' convenience, there are now two login options at the top of our main website so customers can login to either the Hsphere and cPanel servers depending on whether the customer's account has been migrated."

For questions about the new account management system or server platforms, contact your account manager at Springs Hosting or call 719-393-9266.
